AT&T, not Walmart will carry $99 iPhones
It turns out that all the buzz around Apples’ release of a $99 iPhone distributed thru the worlds largest retailer (Walmart) was a little off. Walmart will be offering up the 8GB version for $197, three dollars cheaper than other retailers. AT&T is not offering the rumored 4GB version either. They will be selling refurbished 8GB ($99) and 16GB ($199) iPhones until they run out of stock. So what gives? So much talk of a cheaper more accessible version and then poof! Nothing. If anyone has any info on what happened to the 4GB version, please let me know.
